Terms of Service: Onboarding & Directory Setup

Last Updated: June 2026

Welcome to the digital setup and platform onboarding service for the Freddie Digital Community Network. By checking the agreement box and submitting your onboarding form, you ("the Client", "the Business Owner") agree to be bound by the following Terms of Service with Freddie Digital (operating as Places to Visit with Dogs, hereinafter referred to as "the Provider", "we", "us").

1. Scope of Service & Platform Limitations

  • The Listing: The Provider agrees to build, configure, and host a premium verified business listing on the Places to Visit with Dogs directory network based on the data provided by the Client.
  • The Sub-Domain / URL Customization: The service includes providing a customized, clean sub-folder or sub-domain redirection asset (e.g., bestcafes.uk/yourbusiness or yourbusiness.placestovisitwithdogs.co.uk).
  • No Transferred Ownership: This service grants the Client a digital license to display their brand assets and redirect traffic using the Provider’s proprietary network architecture. It does not transfer ownership of the core directory platforms, source code, or the umbrella domain names to the Client.

2. Custom Domain Configuration & Client Responsibility

  • Domain Ownership: If the Client requests a completely bespoke custom domain (www.yourbusiness.com) to link directly to their directory profile page, the Client must legally own or purchase that domain independently.
  • DNS Setup: The Client is solely responsible for modifying their domain’s DNS settings (such as Pointing an A Record or configuring a CNAME) to route traffic to our servers. The Provider will supply simple, clear technical instructions to assist with this, but cannot log into or manage the Client's third-party domain registrar accounts.

3. Fair Use & Prohibited Content

  • Character & Subdomain Limitations: To protect network integrity, preferred business names used for custom subfolders/subdomains must strictly adhere to our formatting rules (3–15 characters, alphanumeric, and hyphens only).
  • Content Accuracy: The Client guarantees that all menus, images, social media links, and venue information submitted are accurate, current, and owned by the Client.
  • Prohibited Content: We maintain a strictly family-friendly, community-focused ecosystem. The Provider reserves the right to immediately suspend or terminate any listing containing illegal, offensive, deceptive, or highly inappropriate content without refund.

4. Fees, Billing, and Annual Renewal

  • Subscription Term: All directory marketing plans (e.g., The Pup Plan) operate as an annual subscription service.
  • Promotional Rates: If a launch promotional code (such as CANINE50) was applied, the discounted rate applies strictly to the initial term or as explicitly defined by the promotional campaign parameters. Standard annual renewal rates may apply thereafter.
  • Cancellation: The Client can cancel their annual renewal at any time by contacting our support team. Upon cancellation, the profile remains active until the end of the paid billing cycle, after which premium features, custom domain links, and QR routing will be deactivated.

5. Limitation of Liability & Service Continuity

  • Platform Maintenance: While we aim for 99.9% uptime across the Freddie Digital network, we are not liable for temporary, unexpected service disruptions, hosting downtime, or localized internet outages.
  • Third-Party Integrations: The Provider is not responsible for performance variations caused by third-party tools, payment gateways (Stripe), or content delivery networks.
  • Business Performance: Inclusion in our directories is a marketing visibility tool. The Provider makes no guarantees regarding specific influxes of web traffic, foot traffic, or revenue increases for the Client's business.

6. Governing Law & Contact

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom.
